My Story
From the terracotta warriors of Xi’an to the neon skyline of Shanghai — this is why I fell in love with sharing China with the world.
Where it all began
I moved from the US to China with my family when I was seven years old — and it changed everything.
My family is originally from Xi’an, Shaanxi province. The oldest city in China. The capital of thirteen dynasties. The cradle of Chinese civilization and home of the terracotta warriors. But I grew up in Guangzhou, Guangdong province — the heart of Cantonese culture and the birthplace of dim sum.
I was lucky to spend my childhood and teenage years fully immersed in my own culture. After high school, I moved back to the US for college, but China never left me. I still go home every year to travel and see my family. I’ve explored most of the major cities — Shanghai, Chengdu, Chongqing, and beyond — and I’m fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese, and English.
Why I do this
Every time my friends visit China, they come to me for recommendations. Over the years, I’ve made countless custom itineraries — and even served as their personal tour guide.
With more and more people interested in traveling to China, I realized I could help even more people experience the country I love. I want to make your travels as easy and unforgettable as possible.
The difference between my itineraries and the ones you’ll find on generic travel websites? I know the local spots, the trendy spots, the spots that other people won’t tell you about.
